⭐ Our Story

Blue Moose began with a simple belief: kids need a place to play.
Growing up in Western Springs, childhood meant waking up, running to a friend’s house, and spending the entire day outside — inventing games, exploring the neighborhood, and coming home only when the streetlights came on. There were no screens, no schedules, no pressure… just freedom, friendship, and fun.

Today’s childhood looks very different.
Technology is constant. Schedules are packed. Organized sports and structured activities leave little room for the spontaneous, imaginative play that shaped so many of us. Kids have more access to entertainment than ever — but fewer opportunities to just be kids.

Blue Moose was created to bring that feeling back.

Since 2001, our mission has been “Building a Stronger Community Through Sports.” Blue Moose gives children a safe, joyful space to move, laugh, play, and grow — away from screens, pressure, and fast-paced routines.

As our community grew, we recognized that kids come to us for different kinds of experiences. Some want variety and adventure. Others want to learn a sport, build skills, and gain confidence. Many want both.

That’s why Blue Moose now includes two exciting paths:

🏕️ Blue Moose Adventures

Our multi-activity camp inspired by the classic, carefree childhood of the past. Kids explore games, crafts, water play, outdoor fun, teamwork challenges, and daily discoveries — the kind of play that builds creativity, confidence, and friendships that last.

⚽ Blue Moose Sport-Specific Camps

Skill-building camps that focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and fun-first learning. Whether it’s soccer, flag football, basketball, baseball, or another sport, kids grow their abilities in a positive, encouraging environment — without the pressure of competitive programs.
